Recap: Taylor Ducks vs. La Grange Leopards
It was a good run, but the Taylor Ducks unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a hard 64-46 fall against La Grange. Taylor lost against La Grange in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 86-47 score last time.
It was another big night for Nathan Scott, who dropped a double-double on 38 points and 13 rebounds for La Grange. That makes it three consecutive games in which Scott has scored at least a third of La Grange's points. Oliver Gunn was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for La Grange, they have been performing well recently as they've won 17 of their last 21 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
Taylor will be playing at home against Giddings at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Grange, they will head out on the road to challenge Caldwell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Caldwell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 324 points over their last five matchups.
