Volleyball Game Preview: Oran Eagles vs. Sikeston Bulldogs

Oran is 1-9 against Sikeston since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Eagles will host the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

Oran came up short against Bell City on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Oran was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Sikeston entered their tilt with Kelly on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Hawks with a sharp 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sikeston was: they took every set by at least 15 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-8, 25-10.

Sikeston found their leader in freshman Londyn Mitchell, who had ten digs and six aces.

Sikeston was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Sikeston's win bumped their record up to 8-12-1. As for Oran, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
