St. Benedict at Auburndale extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 1-11. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 76-73 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rossville Christian Academy Wolves. On the bright side, the 73- point performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Keontae Scales and Tiernan Sherron certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Scales shot 56% from the field en route to 16 points, while Sherron posted 12 points along with eight assists and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Scales now owns an excellent 46.2% field goal percentage. Cameron Jones also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steals of the season.

As for Rossville Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games.

Seth Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-17 to rack up 30 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Motley, who scored eight points along with five boards and five steals.

Looking ahead, St. Benedict at Auburndale is taking a road trip to square off against Brighton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rossville Christian Academy, they will be home for the holidays to greet North Delta at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
