Soccer Game Preview: North Scott vs. Lisbon

The North Scott Lancers will head out to square off against the Lisbon Lions on Wednesday. North Scott's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

North Scott's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Assumption 1-0. That's two games straight that North Scott have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lisbon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against Clinton on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Lisbon might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

North Scott has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Lisbon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-3.
