Baseball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Edgerton's Winning Streak

If Edgerton was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Continental on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patrick Henry Patriots on Monday. The Bulldogs were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Patriots' pitchers proved too tough.

Edgerton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellen Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgerton will venture away from home to face off against Hicksville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Aces have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Patrick Henry, they will head out on the road to challenge North Baltimore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
