Volleyball Recap: Mountainair Comes Up Short

Mountainair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Quemado Eagles, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-14, 25-10.

Mountainair's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountainair will head out to take on Pine Hill at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Quemado, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ramah at 6:00 p.m. on September 11.
