Football Recap: Washington Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Washington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Riverfield Academy Raiders on Friday as they made off with a 42-22 win. Considering the Generals have won three games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Special teams was a major factor in the game for Washington, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Reid Henderson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

The victory keeps Washington at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 33.0 points this season. As for Riverfield Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will venture away from home to face off against Tri-County Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Generals' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Riverfield Academy, they will face off against Adams County Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
