Black River came out on top against Firelands on Friday thanks in part to Abbey Kiser's efforts. Kiser struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). The effort marked the most strikeouts she has had since back in April.

Kiser and Black River will take on Loudonville in a tournament on Wednesday. Thanks in part to Kiser's efforts, the Pirates will roll in on a three-game winning streak.
