The Williams Field Black Hawks will head out to take on the Brophy College Prep Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williams Field will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Williams Field is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Higley, who was ranked 16th at the time (Williams Field was ranked 12th). The Black Hawks came out on top against the Knights by a score of 21-10 on Friday. The game was the first time the Black Hawks have beaten the Knights on their field since October 30, 2020.

Courshawn Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 176 yards and one score while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Williams Field also got a significant boost from Q Skillings, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
Williams Field didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Higley to a completion percentage of just 48%. The team can thank Joshua Chappell for the heroic effort on defense: he. Williams Field wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 65%.
Meanwhile, after only three points in their last matchup, Brophy College Prep made sure to put some points up on the board against Saguaro on Thursday. The Broncos simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Sabercats 41-8. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won three games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Brophy College Prep's win came from a few key players Williams Field will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Case Vanden Bosch, who rushed for 43 yards and one TD, and also threw for 161 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. His passing game has become a key predictor of Brophy College Prep's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise. Harrison Chambers was another key player, rushing for 79 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Brophy College Prep, adding 13 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Ryder Noche, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Brophy College Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Williams Field, their record now sits at 7-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Williams Field has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 245.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Brophy College Prep struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 152 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Williams Field couldn't quite get it done against Brophy College Prep when the teams last played back in August of 2024 as they fell 35-28. Can the Black Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
