Volleyball Game Preview: Lehman Catholic Cavaliers vs. Covington Buccs

The Lehman Catholic Cavaliers will face off against the Covington Buccs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Lehman Catholic turned things around against Riverside on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pirates by a score of 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 26-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Covington was able to grind out a solid win over Milton-Union on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1.

Covington was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Covington's win came from a few key players Lehman Catholic will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ramse Vanderhorst, who had 19 digs and one block. That block marked the first that she has had this season.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Lehman Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
