Softball Game Preview: Polytechnic Parrots vs. Lancaster Tigers

The Polytechnic Parrots will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Lancaster Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Polytechnic is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game dating back to last season last Saturday. They lost 13-4 to Molina.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Saturday. Lancaster took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Terrell. The game marked Lancaster's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lancaster saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Zuniga, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Even though they lost, Lancaster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .600 or higher in nine consecutive contests.
