Amarillo is 10-0 against Tascosa since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Amarillo Sandies will challenge the Tascosa Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Amarillo will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Amarillo humbled Lubbock with a 65-32 victory. The Sandies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tascosa unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 69-62 to Monterey. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rebels came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Plainsmen are ranked 351st).

Amarillo is also on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Tascosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

Amarillo was able to grind out a solid win over Tascosa when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 52-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Amarillo since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
