Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Panthers vs. Blue Springs Wildcats
The Raymore-Peculiar Panthers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 24-17 to Blue Springs. Raymore-Peculiar lost against Blue Springs in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-48 score last time.
Loss or not, Raymore-Peculiar got some senior leadership from Jaden Reddell who gained 144 total yards and two touchdowns and Gavin Smith who threw for 207 yards and a touchdown. Reddell was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 65 yards.
Raymore-Peculiar's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Blue Springs, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Raymore-Peculiar will face off against Lee's Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee's Summit is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Blue Springs, they will be playing at home against Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Truman comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
