Recap: Walden Grove Red Wolves vs. Sahuarita Mustangs
The Walden Grove Red Wolves can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They blew past Sahuarita 70-46. The victory was familiar territory for Walden Grove who now have three in a row.
Walden Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but MarQuez Tyree led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Tyree also grabbed two+ steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Klump, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Sahuarita lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nate Torres. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Trevizo, who scored seven points.
Sahuarita struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Walden Grove posted 13 assists.
Walden Grove has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. As for Sahuarita, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-18.
