Basketball Game Preview: Mission Hills Grizzlies vs. Westview Wolverines

The Mission Hills Grizzlies will face off against the Westview Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mission Hills is headed into Tuesday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They took a 63-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Marcos on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Knights are ranked 31st).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westview, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Mt. Carmel out 36-34. The win was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mission Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Westview, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 12-10.

Everything came up roses for Mission Hills against Westview in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, as the team secured a 74-43 win. Does Mission Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Westview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
