Southeast Bulloch extends home winning streak to three

Recap: Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets vs. Burke County Bears

Even though the Burke County Bears scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets still came out on top. Southeast Bulloch took their game against Burke County 69-62. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southeast Bulloch.

Defeat or not, Burke County got some senior leadership from Bryce Wimberly and Cayden Jackson. Wimberly dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Jackson. scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that Jackson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kelly Williams, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.

Southeast Bulloch pushed their record up to 9-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Burke County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Bulloch will take on Wayne County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayne County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 417th, while Southeast Bulloch is ranked 187th). As for Burke County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Islands at 8:30 p.m. Hopefully Islands focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday.
