Baseball Recap: Vinton County Comes Up Short

Vinton County came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs, falling 19-1.

Vinton County's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2. As for Lynchburg-Clay, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Vinton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 15-3 loss against Miami Trace on the 18th. As for Lynchburg-Clay, they have also already played their next game, a 23-0 win against West Union on the 17th.
