Soccer Game Preview: Gahr vs. Torrance

The Gahr Gladiators will challenge the Torrance Tartars at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gahr is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.

Gahr is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let St. Francis onto the board and left with a 1-0 win. Given the Gladiators' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 208th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Torrance sidestepped Dana Hills for a 1-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tartars.

Gahr pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up four goals over those 12 contests. As for Torrance, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
