Volleyball Recap: Lake Wales Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lake Wales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the George Jenkins Eagles.

Lake Wales couldn't get the win, but they sure gave George Jenkins a tough time in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 31-29.

Despite the defeat, Lake Wales saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bryelle Turnbow had 25 digs and four assists. Those 25 digs set a new season-high mark for Turnbow.

Olivia Cleveland was the offensive standout of the match as she had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August. Riley Sullivan also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Lake Wales' loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for George Jenkins, their record now sits at 11-4.

Lake Wales has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against McKeel Academy on the 23rd. As for George Jenkins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Bishop Moore on the 23rd.
