Corvallis waltzed into their game on Friday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Central Panthers a 10-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly ten runs.

The result came thanks to Andrew Street's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Axel Prechel, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Roy Bannister, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Corvallis' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Corvallis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
