Soccer Recap: Hurricane Takes a Loss

Hurricane entered their game against Crimson Cliffs on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Hurricane can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Crimson Cliffs are ranked sixth).

Hurricane's goal came courtesy of Elle Jenson, who's now up to four this season.

Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Crimson Cliffs, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Looking ahead, Hurricane will take on Cedar at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hurricane's defense better be ready for this one: Cedar have averaged an impressive 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Crimson Cliffs, they will square off against Snow Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Canyon's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
