Basketball Recap: Altamont Takes a Loss

Altamont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 74-26 defeat at the hands of the Homewood Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Patriots are ranked 52nd).

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Homewood, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-10.

Altamont has already played their next contest (against Fultondale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Homewood will square off against Parker at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Homewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
