Baseball Recap: Nelson County Comes Up Short

Green County hit Nelson County with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost three in a row.

Nelson County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D Minter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Nelson County's defeat dropped their record down to 20-12. As for Green County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-11.

As of now, neither Nelson County nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
