South Mecklenburg's matchup on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Providence Panthers. The result was nothing new for South Mecklenburg, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Julia Grier and Caroline Wawak scored all three of South Mecklenburg's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 21 goals.

The win was the sixth in a row for South Mecklenburg, bringing their record up to 10-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six games. As for Providence, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-6.

Coming up, South Mecklenburg will head out to square off against Ardrey Kell at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ardrey Kell will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something South Mecklenburg surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlotte Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Providence have won ten straight at home, while Charlotte Catholic won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
