League recap: Manteca climbs in state rankings

Manteca scaled the state rankings by moving to 183 from 274 this week, the biggest jump in Valley Oak. The Buffaloes climbed the ranks as a result of besting Los Banos 42-7.

Kimball was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to third in the league. The Jaguars defeated West 16-0 earlier in the week.

Sierra's dynamic duo of Jake Pruitt and Chris Stevens proved to be unstoppable against Chavez, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pruitt threw for 401 yards and 6 touchdowns and Stevens had 162 yards receiving. Bryson Sanders helped Sierra's passing attack out by catching 11 balls for 87 yards.

The Timberwolves' dynamic duo of Pruitt and Stevens proved tough for the Titans to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Stevens was the best receiver in the league this week as Sierra topped Chavez.

Gaige Allen was the best running back in Valley Oak this week. He ran for 163 yards on 12 carries as Kimball bested John Ward's team. Dominique Dixon also contributed to the rushing game with 45 yards on the ground.

Pruitt put up the best numbers in passing as the Timberwolves topped the Titans.

Manteca took down the Tigers 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joe Menzel threw for 181 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 24 yards in the win.
