Recap: St. Paul's Episcopal Saints vs. Brewbaker Tech Rams
The St. Paul's Episcopal Saints can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They escaped with a win against Brewbaker Tech by the margin of a single free throw, 66-65. The victory was just what St. Paul's Episcopal needed coming off of a 79-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Brewbaker Tech still got an impressive performance from Kevin Honer, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. The game was Honer's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Johnathan Williams was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
St. Paul's Episcopal's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Brewbaker Tech, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
St. Paul's Episcopal will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Faith Academy at 7:30 p.m. Faith Academy is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Brewbaker Tech and Demopolis will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
