Baseball Recap: Yelm Triumphs

Yelm won the last time they faced Bonney Lake and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Tornados narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Panthers 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tornados.

Quillin Hadley looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Parker Myers was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jackson Ford also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Yelm's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Bonney Lake, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yelm will welcome Puyallup at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bonney Lake, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Curtis at 4:00 p.m. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
