Erie First Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Avery Collins, who scored 22 points. That was a full 36.1% of Erie First Christian Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Simon Gonzalez, who scored 21 points.
Mercyhurst Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremy Ganska, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ganska has scored all season. Craig Buckner was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.
Erie First Christian Academy's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-9. As for Mercyhurst Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Erie First Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they will be playing at home against Iroquois at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Iroquois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
