Volleyball Game Preview: Tulare Union Tribe vs. Dinuba Emperors + Official Tickets

Tulare Union hasn't had much luck against Dinuba recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Tulare Union came up short against Mission Oak and fell 3-1.

Tulare Union actually scored more points across those four sets (90-89), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 14-25, 25-20, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Tulare Union saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kylah Cordova had 23 digs and one assist. Cordova has been hot, having posted 17 or more digs the last five times she's played. Abigail Haslam also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Meanwhile, Dinuba came up short against Lemoore on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Emperors in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, 25-15.

Tulare Union's loss dropped their record down to 6-24. As for Dinuba, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-15.

Tulare Union couldn't quite get it done against Dinuba in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Tribe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
