Pine Ridge extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They lost to the Rockledge Raiders at home by a 41-24 margin. On the bright side, the 24- point performance marked the Panthers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

When it comes to explaining why Pine Ridge lost, don't look at Deandre Weston. Despite the final result, he rushed for 122 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 105 yards on 11 of 27 attempts.

Pine Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Taj Howard and Yomar Medina.

As for Rockledge, their record now sits at 3-5. Considering their offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

A big part of Rockledge's win came down to the chemistry between Robbie Blalock and his top target Michael Gonzalez Jr. Blalock threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes while Gonzalez Jr picked up 224 receiving yards and four scores. Those four receiving touchdowns gave Gonzalez Jr a new career-high.

Pine Ridge has already played their next contest, a 28-7 loss against Seabreeze on the 24th. As for Rockledge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 31-21 defeat against New Smyrna Beach on the 24th.
