Pine Ridge scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to the Rockledge Raiders at home by a 41-24 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 379th, while the Raiders are ranked 170th).

Despite the loss, Pine Ridge still got an impressive performance from Deandre Weston, who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 105 yards on 11 of 27 attempts.

Pine Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Taj Howard and Yomar Medina.

A big part of Rockledge's win came down to the chemistry between Robbie Blalock and his top target Michael Gonzalez Jr. Blalock threw for 297 yards and four TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes while Gonzalez Jr picked up 224 receiving yards and four scores. Those 224 receiving yards gave Gonzalez Jr a new career-high.

Pine Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Rockledge, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Pine Ridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-7 loss against Seabreeze on the 24th. As for Rockledge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 31-21 defeat against New Smyrna Beach on the 24th.
