Baseball Recap: Oneonta Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Oneonta had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Norwich Tornadoes with a sharp 7-1 win. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-0 win on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Stark, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Britten Zeh, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Oneonta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norwich only posted a batting average of .130.

Oneonta's record now sits at 9-4. As for Norwich, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Coincidentally, Oneonta and Norwich will both be playing Waverly the next time they take the field. The Tornadoes will head out to face the Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
