Basketball Recap: Ethan Bare's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Warren County over Lafayette

Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 61-47 bruising from the Lafayette Rams. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Rams are ranked 157th).

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ethan Bare, who posted eight points. Another player making a difference was Jaycob Robinson, who put up nine points.

Warren County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lafayette, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Warren County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-48 win against Hylton on the 30th. As for Lafayette, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th.
