Volleyball Recap: Rockford's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Rockford entered their tilt with Holland Christian on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Maroons by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Rockford never let Holland Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16.

Mallory Wandel paced Rockford's offense, picking up 16 kills. Wandel got some help from Izzie Delacher and her 25 assists.

Rockford's record is now 4-0. As for Holland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Rockford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Francis on the 23rd. As for Holland Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on South Christian at 5:00 p.m. on September 2.
