Football Recap: Lowry Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lowry extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 4-6. They took a blow against the Churchill County Greenwave, falling 56-9. While losing is never fun, the Buckaroos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Greenwave are ranked fourth).

Connor Peterson threw for 168 yards and one TD. Ben Marvel was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and one score.

As for Churchill County, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Carson Melendy produced another solid effort rushing for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Drake Rowlett made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Coming up, Lowry will venture away from home to square off against Fernley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Churchill County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
