Basketball Recap: Arrowhead Christian Academy Starts Season with Victory Against Flagstaff Christian

Arrowhead Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 33-16 victory over Flagstaff Christian.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arrowhead Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leah Rubio, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. That's the most steals Rubio has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alia Lind, who earned five points along with eight boards and five blocks.

Arrowhead Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Coming up, Arrowhead Christian Academy will host BASIS - Prescott at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. Flagstaff Christian will be paying especially close attention to Arrowhead Christian Academy's game: after Arrowhead Christian Academy faces off against BASIS - Prescott, they'll take on Flagstaff Christian again at 4:15 p.m. on December 5.
