Soccer Game Preview: West Mecklenburg vs. Hopewell + How To Watch

West Mecklenburg hasn't had much luck against Hopewell recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Hawks will take on the Titans at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

West Mecklenburg lost 10-1 to Myers Park on Monday. That's two games in a row now that West Mecklenburg have lost by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, Hopewell came up short against Garinger on Monday, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, Hopewell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Garinger are ranked 35th).

Hopewell's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12-1. As for West Mecklenburg, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18-2.

West Mecklenburg suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Hopewell in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
