Volleyball Recap: Arrowhead Wins High-Profile Contest Against Waukesha West

Arrowhead faced Waukesha West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Warhawks walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wolverines. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The final score came out to 25-18, 14-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Arrowhead was led to victory by Jackson Bertolli and Alex Harker-Murray. Bertolli had 11 digs and two aces, while Harker-Murray had 17 assists and five digs. Those five digs gave Harker-Murray a new career-high. Jack Dennis also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.

The win got Arrowhead back to even at 7-7. As for Waukesha West, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-7.

Arrowhead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Madison Memorial on the 20th. As for Waukesha West, they will challenge Kettle Moraine at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
