Volleyball Recap: Sandia Prep Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sandia Prep had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the New Mexico Military Institute Colts. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sundevils.

Addy Combs was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had six digs and three aces. What's more, she racked up 26 assists, the most she's had since back in October. Ella Schaller also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Sandia Prep's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for New Mexico Military Institute, with the defeat, they broke their four-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.

Sandia Prep has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Santa Fe Indian on the 13th. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Cottonwood Classical Prep on the 14th.
