Lily Brown commands the offense for a Raiders win

Recap: Skyline Raiders vs. Waxahachie Indians

The Skyline Raiders won against the Waxahachie Indians on Tuesday with 58 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Skyline managed a 58-54 win over Waxahachie. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Skyline.

Skyline's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Brown, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and eight steals. That's the first time this season that Brown posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Tamya Whitemon, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.

Skyline has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Waxahachie, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing DeSoto the next time they take the court. Skyline will head out to face DeSoto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Waxahachie will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
