Baseball Recap: Belmont Takes a Loss

Belmont lost against Burlington back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Marauders fell 7-4 to the Red Devils. Marauders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Red Devils since on Sunday.

Belmont has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Burlington, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.

As of now, neither Belmont nor the Red Devils have any future games scheduled.
