Volleyball Recap: Viewpoint Takes a Loss

Viewpoint was the 2-1 winner over Valencia when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Saturday.

Viewpoint was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-11.

Viewpoint has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Valencia, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Viewpoint will take on Brentwood School at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valencia has already played their next contest (against Moorpark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
