Volleyball Game Preview: Yreka Miners vs. West Valley Eagles + How To Watch

Yreka hasn't had much luck against West Valley recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Thursday, Yreka got the win against Central Valley by a conclusive 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Miners.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-5, 25-18.

Meanwhile, West Valley made easy work of Lassen last Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

West Valley walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 25-20.

Yreka better keep an eye on Marlee Byxbe. She was instrumental in West Valley's win, getting three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Byxbe has posted over her last eight matches.

Yreka's record is now 18-16. As for West Valley, their record now sits at 22-8.

Yreka suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to West Valley in their previous meeting back in October. Can the Miners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
