Softball Game Preview: Cannon Falls Bombers vs. Stewartville Tigers

The Cannon Falls Bombers will challenge the Stewartville Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cannon Falls is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

While Cannon Falls' victory against Lake City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bombers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Tigers 8-6. That's two games straight that the Bombers have won by exactly two runs.

Meanwhile, Stewartville owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past Lourdes 8-0. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Stewartville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cannon Falls, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1.
