Basketball Recap: Holy Cross Academy Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Holy Cross Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 78-47 victory over the Miami Warriors. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 31 points or more this season.

Miami's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Breken Early, who posted four points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Early is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Kotara, who had six points.

Holy Cross Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Miami, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Holy Cross Academy will head out to face off against Highland Park at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Cross Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Highland Park likes a good challenge. As for Miami, they and San Jacinto Christian Academy will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
