Recap: Hagerman Pirates vs. Camas County Mushers
The Hagerman Pirates suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Camas County 76-49. While losing is never fun, Hagerman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Camas County is ranked 16th).
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ky Kendall, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Kendall has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Johnson, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hagerman has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Camas County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hagerman will face off against Richfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Camas County, they will head out on the road to take on Dietrich at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
