Softball Recap: West Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

West won the last time they faced South and things went their way on Thursday too. The Warriors walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Spartans. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.

West has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for South, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-11.

Coming up, West will take on Torrance at 6:00 p.m. on May 2. As for South, they will be playing at home against Banning at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pilots have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
