Football Game Preview: Headland vs. Alabama Christian Academy

Alabama Christian Academy have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Headland at 7:00 PM. Alabama Christian Academy stagger into the match hobbled by three consecutive losses while Headland skip in buoyed by five consecutive wins.

It's always hard to lose, and it's even harder to lose by a single point. Just ask Alabama Christian Academy, the unfortunate recipient of a 38-39 defeat at the hands of Dale County two weeks ago. Alabama Christian Academy got a solid performance out of senior Reece Solar, who rushed for 231 yards and 4 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. Solar has been a consistent playmaker for Alabama Christian Academy as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Headland beat Pike Road Schools 32-27 last Friday.

Headland's win lifted them to 5-0 while Alabama Christian Academy's loss dropped them down to 1-4. We'll find out if Headland can add another positive mark to their record or if Alabama Christian Academy can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Headland's step.
