St. Charles has gone a perfect 7-0 against Bishop Watterson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Cardinals will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Charles is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Ohio's top teams: Firestone, who was ranked ninth at the time (St. Charles was ranked eighth). The Cardinals put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday.

St. Charles not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Firestone between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Bishop Watterson narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Archbishop Alter 3-2.

Bishop Watterson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 15-25, 25-22, 25-14, 16-14.

Bishop Watterson found their leader in sophomore Jack Spiers, who had ten digs and one assist. Spiers also put up an ace, which was his first of the season.

St. Charles' record is now 7-2. As for Bishop Watterson, their record now sits at 7-3.

St. Charles took their victory against Bishop Watterson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
