Softball Game Preview: Wilson Mules vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

Wilson hasn't had much luck against Eagle Rock recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Mules will host the Eagles at 3:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Wilson turned things around against Santee last Saturday. They blew past the Falcons 21-1.

Meanwhile, Eagle Rock entered their tilt with Lincoln on Monday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 14-0 win.

Eagle Rock pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Wilson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Wilson might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Eagle Rock when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Mules avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
