Basketball Recap: Texas Lions HomeSchool Comes Up Short

Texas Lions HomeSchool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 57-48 to the Vandegrift Vipers.

Texas Lions HomeSchool's defeat dropped their record down to 26-5. As for Vandegrift, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Texas Lions HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Harker Heights at 7:00 p.m. on February 7, 2025. As for Vandegrift, they are taking a road trip to square off against Manor at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vandegrift knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Manor likes a good challenge.
